Here is a GREAT opinion piece about what I call the fetus-rights movement. It concentrates on the mentally and physically disabled woman in Florida who found herself pregnant after being raped in the nursing home where she lives. I particularly appreciate the line that says, "...as if pregnant women were just minivans delivering them to the doctor." And the very final line of the piece, "She now returns to her normal status: neglect." Kudos to Ellen Goodman for a well-written opinion that doesn't rely on name-calling and threatening language.
